Cartoon Network on “The Doomsday Sanction”:  “While Superman battles Doomsday in the heart of a volcano, Batman discovers an elaborate conspiracy to destroy the Justice League (courtesy of The World’s Finest).”

Dwayne McDuffie on Doomsday in "The Doomsday Sanction":  "People keep saying that [the Justice League should have used kryptonite on Doomsday] but, in the cartoon, the JLU don’t know Doomsday’s origins.  They have no reason to think he has a weakness to kryptonite (courtesy of DwayneMcDuffie.com).”

George Newburn on Superman and Batman:  “I remember someone once said that the thing you love most is what’s going to drive you the most crazy.  I think the same thing applies to Superman and Batman.  Not that they’re married, but they’re so close they can’t help but be at each other’s throats (courtesy of ToyFare Magazine).”

Dwayne McDuffie on “The Doomsday Sanction”:  “See, I think the most important thing in [the final scene of ‘The Doomsday Sanction’] and what really upset Batman was the indication that, given sufficient provocation, Superman would cross the lines he’s set for himself.  What would happen if Luthor was the government (courtesy of DwayneMcDuffie.com)?”
